Rev. Dr. Troy Hauser Brydon is the Senior Pastor/Head of Staff, which means he writes sermons, visits with people over coffee, runs meetings (lots and lots of meetings), oversees the fantastic staff, reads books, and writes emails (lots and lots of emails). You’ll even see him living out his rock’n’roll dreams in the Gathering Band or singing with the choir (but he does that for fun, not work). Before coming to First Pres in 2017, Troy served at Kirk in the Hills near Detroit and St. Simons Presbyterian Church on an island in Georgia. Troy holds degrees from Louisville Seminary (D.Min.), Princeton Theological Seminary (M.Div.), Bowling Green State University (M.A.), and Calvin University (B.A.). Troy is married to Jessica, who is a school social worker and an ordained pastor. They have three children, Annika, Sam, Elliot, and a border collie named Bandit.
