Karen Nienhouse holds the position of Congregational Care Assistant. In this position, she keeps in touch with various needs of the congregation by in-person visits when able, emails, phone calls, and written communication. She passes all pertinent information on to pastors Troy and Kristine. She also handles the Prayer Chain for First Pres. Before this, she worked in various roles in the church. She sings in the Geneva Choir and, at times, subs in the Bell Choir. She is also involved in Children and Worship. Outside of work, Karen loves to visit with friends and family, garden, and practice water aerobics. She also loves to knit and crochet! She lives with her husband Harry, and they have a combined family of 5 children, 3 of which live in the area and two out of state, and 5 grandchildren!
