The public is invited to a free presentation on composting at First Presbyterian Church of Grand Haven on Sunday, October 19, at 4:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary.

The featured speaker is Greg Mankowski, Master Composter with Organicycle, a West Michigan company that transforms organic waste into nutrient-rich soil. Organicycle currently handles the composting of First Presbyterian’s organic waste, including food scraps and yard debris.

“Composting is one of the simplest and most effective ways we can reduce waste and care for the environment,” said Michele Smith, who sits on the church’s Earth Care Committee. “We’re excited to welcome Greg to share his expertise with our community.”

The event is sponsored by First Presbyterian’s Earth Care Team and is open to all. No registration is required.
