First Presbyterian Church will once again open its doors as a “cooling center” during this year’s Coast Guard parade on Saturday, August 3. The church will be open from 10:30 a.m. until approximately 2:00 p.m. for anyone wishing to cool off, get a drink of water, or use the restrooms. Located on the corner of Fifth and Franklin streets, the church is perfectly located for those needing a break from the summer heat.
So if you are out enjoying the Coast Guard activities and parade, feel free to stop in to refresh yourself! The church doors along the parade route will be open. Accessible entrance on Franklin Street. Come on in!
