Join us as we begin season of Lent, a time for Christians to reflect on their mortality, their sinfulness, and the dying of self that comes with new life in Christ.
During the Ash Wednesday worship service, there will be a time for the imposition of ashes on the forehead or wrist for those who wish to receive them. Ashes are a biblical reminder of our mortality: “You are dust, and to dust you shall return” (Genesis 3:19). The spreading of ashes on foreheads is a visible reminder of this. The ashes also represent sorrow and repentance for sin.
Please join us in worship on Wednesday, February 14, as we begin our journey to Holy Week and and the hope of Easter.
