Marc Felt has been the leader of the Gathering Band for First Pres’s contemporary service since 2014. He is responsible for selecting the music for Sunday worship & special services, introducing new songs, scheduling bandmates, and leading rehearsals each week. It doesn’t feel like a job to him since music is a major part of his life and being able to do this every week with such great friends is a blessing to him! Since leading the band is only a part-time job, Marc’s career is in construction. He is the senior project manager for Erhardt Construction, a large commercial contractor out of the Grand Rapids area. He holds an associate’s degree in building construction technology and a bachelor’s degree in construction management from Ferris State University. Marc is married to Kristin, a registered nurse and “CEO” of the Felt household. Together, they have three beautiful & busy daughters, Tenley, Malin, and Piper. They enjoy ice fishing, camping all over Michigan during the summer, and boating on local lakes with their new pontoon, “The Great Boaty McBoatface” (aka, the Minivan of the Lake). In his “spare time”, Marc enjoys playing guitar and writing original music, rehearsing and playing gigs with his rock band, Park Road Revival (which includes members of the Gathering Band…how cool is that?), bowhunting, fishing, snowboarding, and working on carpentry projects around the house.
