Hands for Haiti

In 2010 Hands for Haiti, a non-profit organization, was organized to serve the poor in the mountainous area of Haiti. They provide service-based missions through healthcare, nutrition, agriculture, education, and faith-building. In 2016, H4H opened their first health clinic high in the mountains and today have eradicated cholera. The agricultural farm program teaches them farming techniques, how to work together, and how to start their own farms. H4H is in the process of getting funds to build a school for the children in the mountains who have no opportunities for education so the children don’t have to go down to the villages to work.

Working through all these programs teaches the Haitians to become more self sufficient and are given care they deserve.

Donations of $9,020.00 in 2023 helped 31 farmers to graduate, 30 people learned how to make liquid detergent and batteries with solar panels were purchased for a health clinic.

Koinonia Ministries in Orange Walk, Belize

First Presbyterian Church has formed a partnership with Koinonia Ministries in Orange Walk, Belize. Koinonia Ministries trains & equips children to proclaim the love of God to new generations in their level of understanding through the teaching of God’s Word. Our first adult mission trip to Belize was in November 2020, and our first youth mission trip was in the summer of 2021.

In 2023, another adult mission trip was sent. They helped to construct a second level to the pastor’s house, assisted 24 students with school fees and rewired and painted their church.

The mission statement of Casa de Esperanza Ministries, Inc., states that we have three branches of ministry work in Honduras: dental/medical/optical brigades, construction services, and the operation of transition/educational homes and scholarship programs for disadvantaged youth.
