Rev. Kristine Aragon Bruce is the Associate Pastor, which means she doesn’t have to write as many emails and sermons as Rev. Troy Hauser Brydon but does have the privilege of working with the amazing staff and engaging in ministry alongside members of First Pres. Kristine has a passion for facilitating spaces for people to grow more deeply in their faith in Jesus Christ, such as small groups, bible studies, and mission opportunities. Originally from Seattle, Washington, Kristine earned a B.A. in Communications from the University of Washington and an M.DIV from Princeton Theological Seminary. She has held associate pastor positions in New Jersey and Illinois. She has also served as an assistant to the minister in Dunbar, Scotland. When not at the church you can find Kristine hiking or running on any of the numerous trails in and around Grand Haven, trying to keep up with her kids on the trampoline or eating her husband’s delicious cooking. Kristine and her husband, Matt Bruce have two children, Phoebe and Jenson and a cat who acts like a dog named Bumblebee.
