Our mission is to effectively and joyfully nurture the faith of our children by ministering God’s teachings through education and supplemental activities. We offer programming for children in nursery through grade 6.
If you will be visiting with us for the first time on Sunday, please check in at the Children’s Ministries desk in the main gathering area. Someone will be available to help guide you through the child check-in process and show you where your child’s room will be.
Make your light shine, so that others will see the good that you do
and will praise your Father in heaven. – Matthew 5:16
Children & Worship
Children & Worship, our program for 4 year-olds through 3rd graders on Sunday mornings during the worship services, was created to make a special place where children can come to encounter God, to be still with God and to listen to God. It is a joyful way for children to worship God.
After the children’s message in both worship services, children are excused to their own worship service. Children & Worship uses the same order of worship that we do in “big” worship – Gathering, Proclaiming, Responding, and Sending. This program is key in reaching our goal of nurturing and developing mature Christian disciples.
8:45 Worship Service (after the Children’s Message)
All ages meet in the chapel
11:00 Worship Service (after the Children’s Message)
Y5-K: Rooms 16/17
1st-2nd graders: Chapel
3rd-4th: Room 20
For children in 4th-6th grades, worship materials are available at the sanctuary entrances. These materials help kids follow along during the worship service, and helps them to feel like they are participating. Our goal is to incorporate them into the life and mission of the congregation, and to nurture them into an ever-growing relationship with God and others.
Taste and See!
All Y5-6th grade youth are invited to join us Sunday mornings in room 13 between services (10-11 a.m.) for our Taste and See sessions (which replaces our Shine classes). Join us as we explore hands-on ways to know God. Each month will have an experience-based theme, and each week is new and exciting! Discover new ways to know God through nature, using all of our senses.
Self-directed free time between services (10-11 a.m.) for children thru 6th grade desiring a less-structured classroom setting. Coloring and quiet activities with loving supervision in room 4.
Summer Camp Grants
Our new “Camping Pathways Grant Program” is designed to encourage all children from Kindergarten thru 12th grade to attend a Christian summer camp. This is not a need-based program, and all children who apply and are members will receive a grant.

Special Family Activities
At various times during the year, special gatherings are offered to our families and friends. Some of these offerings are the Easter Egg Hunt, Church Picnic, Advent Craft Fair, and the Impromptu Christmas Pageant.
Sprott Children’s Library
Through a generous donation by the James Sprott family, books are available to read in the lounge or to check out to read at home.
