First Presbyterian Church is offering a free showing of the film “Screenagers,” a documentary that sheds light on the impact screen time is having on families. This popular film explores how learning, playing and socializing online affects teens’ developing attention span, fragile self-esteem and moral instincts.

In “Screenagers,” Physician and filmmaker Delaney Ruston takes a deeply personal approach as she probes into the vulnerable corners of family life, including her own, to explore struggles over social media, video games, academics and internet addiction. Through poignant, and unexpectedly funny stories, along with surprising insights from authors, psychologists, and brain scientists, “Screenagers” reveals how tech time impacts kids’ development and offers solutions on how adults can empower kids to best navigate the digital world and find balance.

The film will be shown at 7 pm on Tuesday, October 23. This event is free and open to the public.
