Dear Friends,
Our lives are full, aren’t they? We have so many things that occupy our time, utilize our abilities, and require our money. Much of what we give our lives to is really good. We give time to our family and work. We use our abilities in helping others. We spend money on our hobbies. Our church is a community where all of those things – time, ability, and finances – come together for a greater purpose.
God has given us everything we need! For 189 years, God has given First Presbyterian Church of Grand Haven everything it has needed to glorify God in worship, to serve our neighbors and world, and to grow in faith. You have been a part of God’s faithfulness in this church, helping us fulfill God’s mission through the years.
As you consider how you will support your church in 2026, I pray that you come to this from a generous posture, recognizing how God has blessed you and believing God can use you to bless others. Together we get to see how God takes our time, abilities, and finances to be the church. I invite you to join us for brunch on Generosity Sunday on October 26. Your timely and generous pledge helps us make faithful plans for the ministry.
Gratefully,
Pastor Troy
