We’re glad you stopped by!  This is where you can find some of the basic information about Youth Ministries here at First Presbyterian Church.  For up-to-the-minute information on what’s happening in youth ministries, visit the FPGH Youth facebook page.

Our youth programs include Shine 56, for 5th and 6th graders; Roots, for 7th and 8th graders; and Vine, for high schoolers, which all meet on Sunday evenings. Our Sunday morning gathering is called Breakfast Club.

  • Everything we do is aimed at connecting students to God and to one another. In these pivotal years, we want to be a place where teenagers can belong and believe. We are about loving students and seeing them change as a result of their growing relationship with Jesus.

Get to know the people who help connect our youth to one another and God…

  • We want you to be involved! Here are some easy ways for you to get involved with Family Life Ministries. Contact the church office to tell us how you’d like to help!

OPPORTUNITY 1) On the first Sunday of every month, our 5th grade thru high school youth groups are treated to a Food, Fun and Fellowship night. On this night, parents and other members of the church volunteer to provide and serve meals for the youth groups. To sign up to bring food for this meal, please contact Caleb Zokoe at 616-842-6760 or czokoe@fpgh.org.

OPPORTUNITY 2) Whether your child is attending or not, we always need extra drivers to make trips happen. There is no better way to see what we value than to join us on a trip or retreat. Leaders/drivers do not pay to attend these events, whether it’s a weekend or week-long trip.

OPPORTUNITY 3) Throughout the year we hold fundraisers to help offset costs of events, trips, etc. Our major annual fundraisers are hoagie sales during Superbowl time, a Youth Service Auction in the spring, and 4th of July and Coast Guard parking. Your donations in supporting our youth make important, formative events possible.
