Ministries of First Presbyterian Church:

Family Life Ministries

We strive to nurture and develop mature Christian disciples. Even from a very young age, children and youth have the ability to grasp the beauty and love of God.

As an integrated part of our church, we want children through adulthood to be consistently growing in a faith that is rich in its history, deep in its commitment, connected in community, dynamic in its creativity, and life-giving in its ministry.

Music Ministries

Music is an integral part of our worship services – it provides an opportunity for reflection, renewal, and religious expression. Music, dance, dramatic scripture readings, and visual arts are all incorporated into worship.

Our 9:00 Sunday morning worship service is a traditional format, with a full choir and our majestic pipe organ.
The music for this service is led by our Director of Music and Fine Arts, Maryanne Beery.

Our 10:30 Sunday morning worship service is a contemporary format, with a band and projection screen. The music for this service is led by our Gathering Band Director, Marc Felt.

Adult Education

There are many opportunities for a wide range of interests at First Presbyterian Church to join a small group or attend one of our many class offerings.

Hospitality & Outreach

At First Presbyterian Church, we work hard to develop programs and events that encourage fellowship opportunities and intergenerational participation. Our goal is to create an atmosphere of warmth and personal acceptance and provide an environment for everyone to take the next step on their faith journey. We seek to provide extreme hospitality to everyone who enters our building – from the streets to the seats!

Presbyterian Women

The mission of Presbyterian Women is to nurture their faith through prayer and Bible study, to support the mission of the church worldwide, to work for justice and peace, and to build an inclusive, caring community of women that strengthens the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and witnesses to the promise of God’s kingdom.
